The side effects of ovarian cysts include pelvic pain, profuse bleeding at menstruation, pain in the breasts and vaginal bleeding amongst other ailments. Let us give you some information about them.

Heavy bleeding during the menstruation period

Women who undergo surgery for Ovarian Cysts could face heavy menstruations after surgery. The time that elapses between surgery and the onset of the first period thereafter could vary widely. Some women have their first periods a couple of months after surgery while others don’t have it for a much longer time and there are others who have had two periods within 10 days of each other after surgery. Apart from this, the flow of blood during menstruation is often much heavier than it was before the surgery.

Bleeding from the vagina

An unexpected flow of blood in the pelvic area would always cause concern to any woman, whatever stage of life she’s in. Any bleeding except at the time of the monthly period and even a particularly heavy amount of bleeding at the monthly period time could obviously be a cause for worry. It is extremely important therefore to arrive at the cause of this bleeding. And the blood flow’s source also has also got to be ascertained – is it the uterus or some other organ or tissue? After determining the above points, measures can and need to be taken about controlling and stopping the bleeding. Of all the possibilities, the one which is the most dangerous is vaginal bleeding and, if this is happening, it should be attended to on an emergency basis.

Typically, cycles of menstruation are of twenty eight days with a margin of about 7 days more or less sometimes. Women’s’ periods last for two to seven days and if one measures the blood and fluid that flows at this time, it would come to about 5 tablespoons, which would account for about 8 soaked pads or less per day. There should not normally be more than 2 days of heavy bleeding. However, if blood continues to flow from the vagina even though the menstrual period is over, this syndrome is termed abnormality in Uterine Bleeding or a dysfunctionality, and this happens from the ovarian cysts. The hormone process which results in the menstrual cycle is extremely complex. And sometimes, this system tends to go off balance and then the secretion of estrogen and progesterone does not happen in the correct proportions. It is then that the body tends to produce Uterine flow of blood in more quantities than necessary and consequently the vaginal bleeding is much in excess of usual. It is the Ovarian Cysts which are basically responsible for the fine balance being disrupted.

One of the symptoms as also a side effect is vaginal bleeding. Monitoring vaginal bleeding is of primary importance since it would indicate how bad / advanced the ovarian cysts are. Also vaginal bleeding outside the regular monthly menstrual cycle will point towards the presence of the cysts. This will help the doctor in identifying the problem of cysts and prescribe the necessary medication. Naturally, the best line of treatment would be adopting the holistic approach.

Breast pain

Tenderness and pain in the breast should never be ignored since it could be an indicator of ovarian cysts. Initially it begins with tenderness in the breast and then the pain gets worse with every passing day if you have ovarian cysts. Therefore it has to be noted as soon as possible to prevent the problem of cysts in the ovary getting out of hand. Since pain in the breast, the secretion of a hormone called estrogen and the cysts are interlinked the hormonal balance in the body also gets upset. Once the ovarian cysts are treated the breast pain will disappear too. Women must treat ovarian cysts promptly otherwise it might lead to breast cancer

Pelvic pain

Another symptom and indicator of ovarian cysts is pelvic pain .Since the ovaries are located in the pelvis the presence of ovarian cysts automatically means that a woman’s pelvic region becomes painful. Pelvic pain has to be treated with correct medication.

Holistic approach

As we have seen all the secondary symptoms of ovarian cysts are correlated and the ideal way to treat it is by adopting the holistic system. This approach combines a way of life, spiritualism and the total body and treats the problem from its source. To rid your body of cysts you need to take the holistic approach seriously and you will find that you are not troubled by any other symptoms.

The holistic way goes beyond the body. The mind is also cured of negativity and wrong notions about the way we live. This approach helps us to cure ovarian cysts while simultaneously changing our whole approach to living. Before you are even aware of it, all the side effects would have disappeared and you would be free of ovarian cysts and its symptoms. Believe me –you will never regret adopting the holistic path to cure the ovarian cysts.
