There is a big misconception about how you should train to lose weight. A lot of personal trainers suggest you should only do cardio training and that you shouldn t bother as much with weight training, but I have seen that people who do both to get the best results.

This happens because of the fact that when you are cardio training you will mainly be burning calories and thus losing weight. However your body won t automatically get that lean look you may be searching for.

If all you want to do is to burn some fat and lose some weight you will of course acheive that with hard work. But will you have that body to be proud of?.

In itself, it is a great achievement to lose excess weight but you may also want to look your best in that bikini, or any other clothing that reveals those certain parts of your body. You want to be really proud of what you have achieved so you wouldn t hesitate to take your shirt off at the beach or swimming pool.

If you want to have that toned lean body you should do at least a bit of weight training and this is why it s imperative you either join a gym, or get some type of home exercise machine.

Not only will you have all the tools to create a proper exercise plan but you will be a lot more motivated dreaming about having that nice new body.

It s been shown that for most of us doing weight lifting around three days per week is usually sufficient to see results. Do some research, and consult with your doctor to find out what will work best for you.

Some people think that the more they train the faster will they see results but they couldn t be more wrong. The fact remains our bodies need time to recover and if you don t give it the time and the rest it needs you will sabotage your own success. If you over train you will start seeing a decline in the speed of your improvement which will tell you that you need to change something. There needs to be a balance with everything and that holds true for your weight loss regimen too.

The only thing that needs to be a constant with your goals is determination and when you have that one sorted out, everything else will fall into place all by itself.

Realistically you don t need the next technique to help you lose weight or the next magical supplement because all those could achieve is a temporary result (if even that). I have a friend who lost weight simply because he was determined. He didn t study any of weight loss plans. He just joined a gym, started running every single day and he ate less. In a year he was a totally different man. After he achieved his goal I asked him what was his secret and he told me what I told you just before. He said he knew that all he needs is to keep doing it until he loses weight. He had the determination and because of that he couldn t fail. For him there was never a bit of a doubt if he would ever succeed or not.

This is all you need too, just stay on track and never ever stop trying.
