Don’t forget the digital camera so I can take some still shots. Ooops, I almost left my PDA. Let’s see, I got all 4 items. If I am guy, I don’t have enough pockets to put everything. With the small purses women are using today, it isn’t going to hold everything as well. Maybe it is time for you to truly get into the 21st Century and combine all these must have gadgets into one easy to take along. If you buy your phone correctly then you could have all of these incorporated into one.
The digital camera has exploded over the past few years. The convenience plus the being able to not have to carry film around is huge. Being able to edit your pictures and print only the ones you want is not only saves you money but is just downright cool. I love being able to take pictures of my granddaughter and go online and send the images to my sister’s local drug store 800 miles away and in less than a hour she is holding the pictures in her hand. That is the greatest thing since slice bread.
Cell phones has been including digital cameras for the past several years. The initial offerings have provided poor quality compared to even the low end of the stand alone digital camera. However, all that has changed now. The Verizon LG Dare has a 3 megapixel lens. Motorola, Samsung, LG, Nokia and others have continually improved the digital camera available in the phone. Some of the phones have even editing software built in.

The ability to shoot a quick picture and then immediately send it over the web to someone hundreds of miles away is a perfect tool for keeping families connected. It is still a while before the camera cell phone replaces fully the stand alone digital camera but they are biting on their heels. It is just a matter of time.

Camera cell phones are fun. They are handy and provide the opportunity to catch the moment. As technology improves, even the low end phones with cameras will also improve in quality. Maybe the next time your contract is up with the cell phone company, it is time to buy a cell phone that a digital camera. It may even replace your old heavy digital camera. Go take some pictures!
