Money makes the world go round! So what can you Spend?
One of the most important questions when planning a baby shower or a birthday party is What is your budget? No other question will be more influential on your party or more clearly influence the ambiance and theme of your event. Sometimes, the answer may even convince not to have a party at all! But we dont want that! So how can we stretch our budget as much as possible. Here are some tips:
1. Choosing a location can be dependent on your budget throwing a party at a rented location and catering for fifty people, can be VERY expensive and cost thousands of dollars. However, throwing a party at someone s home and renting a tent, chairs and tables can be much more manageable.
2. When renting a tent, chairs and tables call at least 3 4 places and find out what kinds of tents are available at the rental place. Many have different quality tents at different prices. Also, there are many sizes of each style as well. If you are on a budget you might want to opt for a canopy tent which is usually held by 6 8 posts with rope and have a peaked roof. It usually doesn t include any siding or other weather preventive add ons.
3. Tables and chairs are also available for large budgets and for the budget conscious. Opt in for regular fold up chairs without cushions and you will be able to accommodate more people.
4. Party decorations and balloons, can also put a dent in your budget! Look for plain colored balloons rather than themed ones such as Disney or Sesame Street and you will save at least $50 dollars.
5. You can also get creative and ask a few different people to pitch in for the costs and minimize the amount each person needs to spend. The more people join in the pool, the cheaper it will be per person. Close friends and relatives of the parents may want to contribute to the cost grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, work friends, classmates, church friends, out of state friends and relatives and more. You can acknowledge each person s contribution by including them in the invitations as co hosts to the baby shower or birthday party event. And dont be ashamed to ask for help! Most people will be delighted to contribute as they may not have the time, energy or a lot of money to plan the entire party. Asking for a small contribution will allow them to be involved as much as they can and make them feel useful instead of guilty at not being able to devote more time to the effort.
So there you have it plan your party at someone s house, do your homework when renting your tent, chairs and tables and ask for some help and you will have a great event! There are many other ways to save as well cook most of the food, make your own invitations and you can have a party without breaking your budget!
